Um...Craniac? His appearance in "Mine Alone" looked pretty different compared to "Future Zone" and "Double Trouble", but it could be a new Craniac...the credits refer to him as "Craniac" without a number. I'm a bad fan for not noticing this stuff  |

Hint: This is a character whose deviation isn't visually noticeable. Their design remains relatively consistant throughout the seasons. Yet, there is still a dramatic change that will put into question what was going on with the earlier episodes. In other words, this is a character who has a dramatic change to their design without actually appearing to change at all, if that makes sense.
I'm sure this'll make the search for the character harder, so I'll offer up a second free hint: look through the episodes of season 3. You'll find the answer in one of those episodes.
