Have any of you guys watched this series? It's a machinima (created with a video game, in this case, the Halo engines). It's been running for a long time, since about 2003 if I remember right. It revolves around two opposing squads, one red and one blue, who are fighting each other for an unknown reason, and most of them don't really care. It largely deals with the misadventures of the characters as they are thrust into strange situations.
Well that's how it starts out, but as it goes along, the world is greatly expanded on, conspiracies are uncovered, shocking revelations are made, things you thought you knew are torn apart, unexpected truths that change everything, etc. The series greatly improves later on, incorporating some heart felt moments and some true horror, while at the same time still keeping the comedy.
It's a series I strongly recommend. Yeah it starts off rocky and not so good, but keep with it, and you will find a series that just gets better as time goes on. There are some real shocker moments, things that will make your gut twist, make you cry, make you laugh. It's one of the most well done online series out there.
