Is there something that you don't find to be that scary, something that doesn't make you afraid, or at least not as much, but a lot of people note is terrifying?
For me, one such thing is being trapped. I just don't find it that scary to be honest. I could understand the dangers of it (like starving to death, how painful of a death that is), or being stuck in a small space (claustrophobia). But overall, I just don't think it's that scary. For me, getting hurt is a lot more horrifying. I know a lot of people say that being trapped is scarier, and they can bring up some pretty good reasons for why, but I just can't fully agree. The prospect of pain gets more of a reaction out of me than just being stuck.
Of course, that's just my personal opinion. And, far as I know, I'm the only one I know who has this viewpoint.
So, how about you guys?

Yeaaah I'm one of the ones who finds being trapped most terrifying. xD
As for things I'm NOT afraid of, well, the first thing I thought of is spiders. I like spiders. They don't creep me out.
I've also always liked the dark, even as a little kid. I found it comforting rather than 'scary' like a lot of kids did. xD

I misread and thought you said "Yeah I'm not one who finds being trapped very terrifying" and I was so confused because I was so sure you said the opposite before. XD
I forgot to explain why being trapped doesn't scare me. Whoops. XD I meant to do that before. It's because I can be slow to 'get things', especially if they aren't immediate. In a situation of being trapped, it can take time for any effects to take hold (such as full, true horror of being trapped, starving, depending on the situation of being trapped, if that makes sense), so it doesn't make me feel afraid. It's the more immediate things (getting injured) that get more of a reaction out of me. For this reason, games that are largely atmospheric, like Silent Hill, do not frighten me. I was told how scary that game was, but except for one jumpscare, I was not frightened. I was just 'meh' throughout the whole game. And the parts without dinosaurs in Dino Crisis, which most people find most terrifying, I found to be the most calming parts of the game.
Of course, despite being relatively 'slow to get things' psychologically, I'm still able to write about it just fine, since I still understand enough to know why people might find it scary. I might not find it as scary as other people, but I don't downplay it or anything.
I hope that makes sense. XD
Yeah, I don't find spiders to be too scary either.

Yeah, that makes sense!
Me I am the opposite; physical pain doesn't usually get a reaction out of me but other types of things do. It might just be because I have a high pain tolerance but I dunno.

For me, I think the reason why I'm more afraid of pain is because I used to be struck by my parents, and I associate the getting hurt thing with the fear I felt during those moments. At least partially. Something like that. Sorry for the confusion if I caused any. XD

Spiders. I was never really afraid of spiders. I think they're kinda cool!
