What do you guys think of this relatively minor character?
Based on what I've seen of her, she's certainly a hard worker, and kind and caring at that. With all that she does, and yet still managing to keep a calm personality, I imagine that she is one of the most sane adult characters on the show. She also is on such good terms with Rudy's parents that sometimes I wonder if they were childhood friends or something.
One thing that amuses me is how people have portrayed her has hating Rudy or being insane, both of which contradict how she is in the show. If she hated Rudy, why would she let her daughter hang out with him? And why would she express concern for him in one episode where he wasn't allowed to a concert? And if she was crazy, I doubt she would stay a vet for very long. Not many people would trust their animals to someone who had crazy tendancies.
It is a shame that she is misrepresented in fanfics. Part of it, I think is just because the author is writing romance and wants some kind of 'obstacle' for Rudy to overcome, so they choose Penny's mom (even though in reality, she probably wouldn't mind if Rudy and Penny were dating).
If they made more ChalkZone episodes, I'd like to see more of her character.
