Has anyone here thought of an idea for a CZ fanfic that they hadn't yet started to work on?
I have a few, though I am not sure yet if I will write them or not. I'll list what I can remember.
I'm Not Here: This idea evolved from when I was looking on DA and found a couple entries regarding the possibility of Rudy being schizophrenic and just 'imagining up ChalkZone'. While this theory does not hold up very well, the idea of a character getting schizophrenia intrigued me, so I originally thought about a villain giving it to Rudy somehow, and he begins to question his sanity as time goes on, even going as far as doubting ChalkZone's existence due to how messed up his mind would be. However, I have thought about changing the concept around and making it Penny, not Rudy, who has it. The reason why is because Penny is the most intelligent of the group, and would be the one most deeply affected by the condition. Seeing how she reacted to losing her ability to talk normally in Mother Tongue, one can just imagine the torment she'll go through when she cannot tell reality from fantasy anymore.
There's No Tomorrow: I haven't thought too much of this idea, other than it would involve Rudy getting kidnapped by some people wanting to get back at Joe. A rival is what I'm thinking, and Joe pisses them off. I'm still trying to develop the idea. It would focus more on Joe and I would try to develop him more, since he isn't a main character in the show.
Need: This story was inspired by one of Racingwolf's original ideas for Cryptic Investigation. While in the story, he's kidnapped by Dooth and Boorat and locked up in a room for 2 days, the original concept would have had him at a scientist lab being experimented on, likely for the same amount of time. After seeing the episode Power Play and seeing how crazy Doctor Von Doktor was, I thought about a story where he manages to kidnap a zoner. Blocky, I had in mind. And he would subject poor Blocky to very painful experiments until Snap is able to save him.
Draw The Line: Going off on the scientist idea, this one would involve Rudy being the one kidnapped. This one may not involved Von Doktor, but unlrelated doctors. They figure out about the magic chalk and they try to get Rudy to tell them how to use it. When he does not answer, they perform experiments on him to see how it would work, such as cutting open his arm to see the innerworkings of it as he's using the chalk (he would be numbed, sedated, and not looking at the arm during this time). I also thought of him temporarily going blind thanks to the experiments. Meanwhile, his parents don't realize their son is in danger because they were told he's just on "vacation" or something.
All Alone I Break: I'm not sure yet if this story would be a sequel to Fix The Cracks for not (where Rudy is shot by Terry). It would involve Terry and Vinnie trying to get into ChalkZone by kidnapping Rudy and forcing him to be dependent on them (they find him unconscious and break his leg so he can't try to leave). The goal is to get Rudy comfortable with them and be more willing to talk. So they try to be nice to him. When he does get sick, that helps move their plans forward, and as the fever messes with his head, Rudy grows more and more comfortable and affectionate towards the two.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. I'll add them in later when I think of them.
