Are there any shows that you love to watch that you see hated on so much? I'm not talking about rare shows that simply don't get enough love. I mean shows that are commonly known, and commonly hated upon, or treated with little respect. If so, please explain what the show is and why you think it deserves more credit.
I will reply shortly with a show I feel is underappreciated.

One particular show I feel gets more hate than it deserves, well, surprised me I have to say. When this show first came out, I never thought I would enjoy it. To me, it seemed like another stupid show, and I didn't really give it a chance. Granted, I didn't complain about the show really, because how can you complain about a show you don't watch? Seems unfair, so I do my best to avoid it.
Well one day, I gave the show a watch as I was trying to sleep. And, well, something surprised me about it. The show...made me laugh. It honestly made me laugh. Since that time, I decided that, okay, maybe I should watch a bit more of this show, see what it's really about. As a result, while it's not my favorite show, it is one the list of shows I like to watch.
The show in question is Fanboy And Chum Chum.
Yes, I admit it. I like Fanboy And Chum Chum.
On the surface, it does look like a pretty stupid show with not much to it. But it's only after watching a few episodes that I saw that there was a lot more to this show than I initially thought. It's actually quite creative and zany at times, pulling unpredictable plot points and turns at times. The characters themselves are a bit more developed than I had imagined, and they are quite memorable, more so than I thought they would be. The writing is also pretty clever and smart at times, and despite the way it looks, a lot of the jokes don't really come from cheap bathroom humor, but rather from the zaniness of the characters and show themselves.
It's not a masterpiece by any means. However, Fanboy And Chum Chum does deserve more credit than what is given. I do feel this show deserves a watch. If you are interested in giving this show a shot, or you just want to kill some time, the episode I would recommend is Man-Arctica The Ride, as this is the episode that got a genuine laugh out of me, and is the one that got me interested in the show.

I can't think of any examples myself at the moment, but this kinda make me think of how when someone likes a show, movie, song, whatever that most people generally dislike they sort of feel like they have to justify liking it somehow (not saying that's what you're doing since the topic is specifically about these shows, I'm just thinking of other people in general I've seen doing this whenever they mention they like certain things), such as saying "I know it's bad, but..." Always seemed really weird to me. Why don't people just say they like something? I feel like if people judge me for liking something, they're jerks and their opinion isn't worth my time anyway.
...Not that this really had much to do with the topic at hand, I just think the concept of "guilty pleasures" is stupid. Unless the pleasure is something harmful like murdering people in their sleep I don't see why they should be guilty about it. xD

I never liked Fanboy and Chum Chum, but if you like it, that's fine (and for the record, yes, I HAVE watched it. I've seen a lot of people who hate it that haven't even seen the show. I gave it a chance, didn't like it, )
But in a similar vein, I...really enjoy The Mighty B!. A lot of people hate it, and I really do see the flaws, but I honestly thought it was really funny and enjoyable (and there aren't enough Nicktoons with female lead protagonists- not counting ensemble lead casts like Rugrats of course- all we've gotten right now are The Wild Thornberrys, As Told By Ginger, My Life as a Teenage Robot, The Mighty B!, and The Legend of Korra). Yeah, it could get really gross and pretty stupid at times, but it's kind of a guilty pleasure.
Outside of Nick, I loved Sabrina: The Animated Series. Everyone hates it because it didn't follow the live action show. Not only was Sabrina based on a COMIC BOOK that ran from the '60s to the mid-2000s first (not the 1996 sitcom) and stayed close to that, but the characters that didn't appear in the animated series that did in the live-action series (Libby, Valerie, etc.) were created by Viacom and under their ownership. DiC couldn't get the rights to the characters so they added new ones to fill their shoes in, such as Gem and Chloe (who I wasn't too fond of. Chloe was void of pretty much all personality except for being the token black girl, and Gem was really annoying...but so was Libby, so it's not that big of a deal). I mean, it was cheesy, but it was cute. And plus, they got to do a little more with the magic since the show was animated.
Now the spin-off series Sabrina's Secret Life I won't defend. That one was really bad. All the voice actors were changed (the first series was recorded in both California and Canada. Since the budget got shot for SSL, the show was recorded in Canada only like most DiC shows), the animation got worse (and DiC was already cheap to begin with), Sabrina's powers were weaker for some reason (and she uses a wand now...she never used a wand in any version of the franchise!), and some of the characters were replaced with new ones (Chloe apparently "moved away" and was replaced with Maritza...who was just a Hispanic color palette of Chloe, and Gem was replaced with Cassandra). I don't count the new series on Discovery Family (formerly the Hub) because it's produced by a different company (I saw it and...I don't want to see it again).
And while this one is more of an extremely broken base, 101 Dalmatians: The Series is one of my favorite cartoons and always will be.

I was gonna mention Fanboy and Chum-Chum too. I personally feel as if it would have done better as a 2D animation rather than 3D, but nonetheless I actually really liked this show when it came out and I still think it's really funny. I really wish people wouldn't hate on this show as much as they did. It's really just a fun, silly show that hasn't done anyone any harm.
