...what would you have wanted to see in the show (or outside the show)?
Well, first thing's first, and it's extremely obvious- I want more merchandise. We had the Wendy's promotion, but I'd kill for stuffed dolls of the main trio. A video game would've been nice as well.
And promotion. Nickelodeon kind of forgot about it as soon as The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius premiered (I do love JN, but CZ is superior).
Otherwise...
* I want to see an episode about how the magic chalk got into the real world in "ChalkZone" (AKA "Rudy's First Adventure"). Does it "choose" a great creator? Does an inhabitant of ChalkZone hide it somewhere in the real world for a great creator to find it? Is Rudy the "chosen one"? Had the show not have gotten cancelled in season four, this would've been a good idea for a second TV movie.
* The show never got a real "finale". The last episode was just a normal episode. My rough idea (read: still need to work out details) would be one of the characters pointing out that Rudy's eventually going to stop going into ChalkZone as he gets older to Snap, and he has a little...trouble with this. He also realizes that Rudy and Penny are going to grow up and go off on their own while he's stuck as a kid (I don't think he's been explicitly stated to be a child, but he does appear to be one physically and mentally. I usually place him around eight physically and mentally) permanently, as he's a drawing. It would probably be a really big tear jerker. Whether or not it would take place during the show's current timeline (possibly with Rudy graduating from elementary school as what starts off the plot) or as a timeskip (such as Rudy graduating high school), I don't know. Anything works. Just something that could give more "closure" to the series.
* At least some sort of explanation on the whereabouts of Penny's dad. It doesn't have to be too big or detailed, just so we know (my headcanon is that her parents are divorced).
* A musical episode. With more than one or two songs sung in the episode (not counting the ending song). Since it's a very musical show, this would've made a good episode.

I don't really think Rudy will stop going to ChalkZone just because he gets older. No one is so busy they can't just stop by for a few minutes. There's really no reason why Rudy can't have fun in ChalkZone even as an adult. All that extra stress he'll get from high school and all that will just give him more reason to escape into ChalkZone, not less.
I think a more realistic angle is that Snap realizes that Rudy and Penny are going to die before he does. As a zoner, he's technically immortal unless killed (by disease or by water or by weapon). The idea of outliving his friends would be heartbreaking for him. While I'm not sure if the show would have ever addressed something like this, I can see this happening more easily than I see Rudy and Penny somehow becoming so busy they can't spare their friend 15 minutes for a visit. I just see that is very unlikely.

Yeah, I never understood the "Rudy will get older and grow out of ChalkZone" thing that people like to talk about. Adults have hobbies; my parents sure do, and it's weird that they all assume (and rightly so) that Rudy would keep drawing, but not visit...his best friend in another dimension? I guess their logic is "Rudy is too busy with his art-related job," but thinking that an artist would never have time to just relax and do their own thing outside of that is really unrealistic. Plus if someone had access to another dimension...well, no one's going to give that up! xD Plus there's Vinnie and Terry who haven't even been there and are fixated on it, and they're adults.
As for a finale...I think that would have been really cool. I think what I would have liked most is some sort of big epic adventure, with an ending that wrapped things up nicely enough, but also left room for a lot more stuff to happen if people wanted to imagine it.
The origins of Rudy's first piece of magic chalk would've been cool too.
I would also have liked to see some more episodes with conflicts between ChalkZone and the Real World. I always loved the ones where Zoners got stuck in the real world or humans got stuck in ChalkZone, ChalkZone was threatened by the Real World and vice versa...there is so much potential with that!
Also...more big-scale adventure stuff! Another tv movie, or even several episodes that continued off each other. ChalkZone has so much potential for this as well. I remember being really frustrated when I couldn't even find many fanfictions that had some epic journey to them after the show ended.
And, more episodes where Snap or Penny end up being the one to save everyone! I always thought it was really cool when they got the chance to.

Yeah, the interactions between the real world and ChalkZone would have been cool to explore more. It's a shame there aren't too many episodes that show this. A lot of potential there, especially considering things like how a citizen of one world can't eat or drink anything from the other world, how things in ChalkZone can affect a real worlder like that water that make adults act like kids, and how things erased in the real world show up in ChalkZone, so if someone knew about ChalkZone and wanted to cause a lot of trouble, they could easily use the chalkboard. o.o
I also would have liked to see more zoner/human interactions besides Rudy and Penny. We know they treat the zoners well, but what about a human who doesn't see zoners as equals? How would they treat them? We had a glimpse of that with Terry and Vinnie. Terry folded Snap up like he was just a shirt and stuffed him into her bag without hesitation, while Vinnie was going to force zoners to work in his theme park. And these are just minor examples. What about a more extreme one, with a human who doesn't even see the zoners as alive, or sees them as a threat? What about someone who sees ChalkZone as an 'infestation' and tries to 'clean it of its filth' by attacking zoners? o.o Then there is the case of real world water. If a human wanted to harm ChalkZone, that would be a devastating way to do it. Rudy would have a much harder time stopping them. o.O
Yeah, finding fanfics is pretty difficult. Well I have a bunch of fanfics that I wrote/am writing, so at least it's something. XD
I misread your post and thought you said you wanted an episode where Snap and Penny end up together. XD But yeah, it would be nice to have more episodes of them being heroes! They're not incompetent sidekicks, that's for sure!

Exactly! There's a lot that can be done with stuff like that. I always thought the idea of Snap getting trapped in the Real World for a while (longer than he did in the show) was interesting concept. (Of course it would be to me, seeing how much I love danger scenes...) Which is why I wrote that story way back in 2005, and later Cryptic Investigation.
Yeah, that would have been cool! I'd even love to see more humans interacting with Snap, thinking he's just an normal kid. Him posing as a foreign exchange student was really funny to me, and I would have loved to see more stuff like that. But on a more serious note, yeah, some more people like Terry and Vinnie would have been cool too. Makes me wonder what Doctor Von Doctor would have done had he actually stumbled into ChalkZone. And any human who used water as a weapon would have been a huge threat indeed.
And speaking of Vinnie and Terry, I REALLY wanted to see what they would have done after Snap vs. Boorat! That episode establishes that they've teamed up...but what next? Would have been awesome if they'd have been able to keep going with that.
It is...and most of them are romance-focused which I am not interested in. xD And yeah, Play the Game was a pretty big adventure! And you have a lot of different ones; that's really cool.
Hahaha, no, I did not mean that! And nope! I mean the episodes we have are certainly enough to show they aren't, but I would have loved to see them in the spotlight more often.
Oh, and I remembered one more thing. More episodes with Snap saving someone/sacrificing himself for someone. Yeah, yeah, I know the episodes have a lot of these already, but I never get tired of them. Those episodes are my favorites.

Poor Snap wouldn't last long in the real world. D: He'd grow weak and tired from not being able to eat or drink anything. And of course, any liquids in the real world could hurt him, and some liquids would have an..unpleasant effect on him. o.o Like sulfur (I think that's what it was), that would have caused some...grotesque wounds. D:
Likewise a human wouldn't last long in ChalkZone. They'd suffer the same problems as a zoner would in the real world. No food or water. If Rudy got trapped in ChalkZone with no magic chalk and no way out, he'd be screwed unless someone finds him. D:
I have to wonder if anyone would get suspicious of the fact that Snap doesn't have a nose or ears. Maybe they think it's just the result of the mask. But if it were off... Yeah I imagine Snap has to keep that mask on at all times in the real world, otherwise they'd know something was up. o.o
Yeah I always wondered about Doctor Von Doctor. Considering he was willing to take Rudy and his family hostage, and how he was babbling about becoming famous, I imagine he wouldn't treat the zoners that well.
Yeah, the show got cancelled not long after, so we don't really see the outcome. It would have been nice to see where Terry and Vinnie went from there. Would they make more dangerous drawings to get the chalk? Would they confront Rudy and Penny in an attempt to force information out of them? Would Terry have learned more about ChalkZone that would have made her a bigger adversary? She and Vinnie certainly had the potential of being more terrifying villains than Skrawl (who, btw, I wish appeared more cause he was great XD). o.o
Yes, romance between 10 year old Rudy and Penny. XD Because romance is all that matters apparently!
And a ton happens in Catch A Brief Reflection, too! That...neverending story... XD That finally ended. Play The Game was fun to write with all the different locations. I should do another fanfic like that. Maybe with a human trapped in ChalkZone and they're trying to get out.
Snap is such a selfless zoner! I like in Double Trouble when he shoves Penny out of the way as Robot Rudy was about to attack. And speaking of Robot Rudy, he was quite scary. o.o

Yeah, if either one got trapped for more than a day or so it would be bad news for them.
I'm figuring it's the mask, too. But yeah, never really thought about what would happen if he took it off. XD
Me too. Of course he never even really found out ChalkZone existed, but we know Terry talked to him...I really wonder if he would have come back as a villain at some point.
Yeah. :c I mean, their potential as enemies just increased...now Rudy and Penny would have to worry about BOTH of them at the same time. It would be interesting to see their reactions if they found out about the whole thing. And yes, Skrawl needed more episodes! And Jacko and Craniac too.
Hahaha don't get me started on that.
Oh yeah, that would be cool! Maybe Rudy and Penny get stuck in there? They and Snap end up stuck on some journey?
He is! And yes, Robot Rudy was an awesome "villain" (or villain's device, whatever). Wonder what would have happened if one of the other villains got hold of HIM.

Hahaha maybe Snap would go the Invader Zim route and say it's a skin condition. XD
It would have been interesting if Doctor Von Doctor came back. Maybe he would have talked to Terry more and started to wonder if ChalkZone existed. Then he would have tried to use science to find a way in. Maybe he'd kidnap Rudy again and try to figure out how the boy gets into ChalkZone.
Yeah. Terry and Vinnie working together would be scary for Rudy, Penny, and Snap. They'd definitely be horrified if they found out Boorat was created by them. I wonder if they'd figure it out on their own by simply making the connections. The "must bring the chalk to my creators" may give away the fact that Vinnie and Terry drew Boorat. I mean, what other adults do they know are aware of ChalkZone?
More Skrawl, Jacko, and Craniac episodes! Oh, maybe an episode where the three of them teamed up!
Yeah! Maybe it could be a continuation of that song Let's Go Wandering (minus sad Skrawl cause that made no sense XD) and they end up going missing, and the zoners get worried and go find them? And meanwhile, Rudy, Penny, and Snap have lost the magic chalk, maybe in some large river (that's not the Amazin' River) and they're in an uncharted part of ChalkZone. Oh! And maybe they end up in an area that has little knowledge of creators, and the zoners there are xenophobic and when they find out Rudy and Penny aren't zoners, they act hostile towards them. Perhaps more so when they find out they can create.
It would be scary if another villain got a hold of Rudy. o.o Though for some reason, I keep picturing Jacko mistaking Robot Rudy for the real thing and demanding him to draw a bride for him. XD

Hahaha, maybe. XD
Yeah, that would have been interesting. He seems like he could be a scary villain if given the motivation to be.
I figure they would have eventually made the connection, which makes me wonder even more how they would have reacted.
Exactly!
Yeah, that's a good idea. Or maybe they end up in some place that has mostly animalistic Zoners? As in, ones that don't talk?
Speaking of Let's Go Wandering/Skrawl, I've always been REALLY curious as to why he was in there. I mean, Bullynerd was in there too, but I guess that's not much of a stretch, since Bullynerd was a jerk from the start without any real reason to be. I could see Zoners like him becoming good guys. Skrawl has a specific hatred of Rudy, so that would be harder for him, but also pretty interesting. (I loved when Skrawl and Rudy had to team up. xD) But yeah, I really wonder what that part in the song was about... Maybe I'm reading too much into it when I start thinking up theories, but oh well. xD
Oh wow, Jacko with Robot Rudy on his side would have been AWESOME. And it also would have been great if a bunch of the ChalkZone villains all teamed up, the way Skrawl and Craniac did. So there could be Craniac, Skrawl, Jacko, Boorat, maybe they could even have Bullynerd and Butch Biceps on their side. Imagine the chaos. xD

Yeah, especially if he uses his scientific skill to figure out how the magic chalk works and finds a way to replicate it. o.o Or even find a way to enter ChalkZone without use of magic chalk by creating a dimensional traveler. D:
A shame the show was cancelled, so we'll never know.
Yeah that could work, too! And they try to hunt Rudy, Penny, and Snap (if they are predators), not realizing that Rudy and Penny are real worlders. Oh! Or maybe we could combine the ideas! An isolated area of ChalkZone with mostly animal zoners, and are pets to the intelligent, speaking xenophobic zoners, and they use their pets to capture the trio.
Maybe they could seperate Snap from Rudy and Penny. I imagine they might think he was 'brainwashed by the filthy hethens' and they turn him into a slave, while Rudy and Penny are forced into some kind of arena and have to survive the cruel games thrown at them all for their sick amusement.
Maybe Skrawl is just sad Rudy won't be around to foil. XD He's probably thinking "Oh Master Tabootie is leaving? What about me?! Who am I going to show my BRILLIANT PLANS to now?!" XD
"I demand you to draw me a bride!"-Jacko " :: destroys Jacko's coffin :: There you go, always glad to help!"-Robot Rudy "You little twerp!"-Jacko
Much chaos. XD Boorat would keep ranting about the magic chalk, Skrawl would keep talking about his BRILLIANT PLANS, Craniac would try to get one of the zoners to tell him how he can use the "instant matter materializer", and much more chaotic things. XD
Oh, and another thing I'd like to have been explored more is people's reactions to the scenes where a portal is used in front of everyone, like Indescent Exposure and School House Of Destruction or something. I forget the name. XD But a lot of people saw Snap/Rudy come out of the portal. What if someone wasn't so stupid to fall for the trick and figured out that the portal was real? o.o

Hm...who knows. I can see him wanting to study the properties of magic chalk itself too. Imagine if he got in the chalk mine. *shudder*
Yeah, something like that! Or some sort of weird wilderness area or something. Or both, I dunno. XD
I thought of that too, but he seems a bit too sad for it to be that. xD Who knows why he was put there.
Hahaha, that is PERFECT! XD
It would be so fun to see them all interacting. And imagine the chaos they would create once they really started working together instead of arguing. Rudy would have trouble stopping all of them at once, that's for sure.
I think both of those are examples where the audience thought it was just a trick, but yeah, I could see Terry getting a hold of some of those people maybe like she did with Mr. Wilter/Doctor von Doctor.

That would be horrible if he did. D: Then he could learn about all the types of chalk. Maybe even create new types like the black chalk artists could in my trilogy. D:
Yeah. XD I was imagining a forest kind of area. Oh! Maybe an underground forest, in a cave, like the cave jungle of Brinstar in Metroid! That could be how they are unaware of most of ChalkZone and of creators. And it would be how they could have, perhaps, an arena without anyone on the outside knowing about it.
Who knows. XD Sad Skrawl is just sad Skrawl cause he wants to be. XD
Poor Jacko. Robot Rudy would destroy/fix all his stuff and never once get him a bride. XD
Yeah, definitely. o.o They could set up a complicated plan like Skrawl did in Double Trouble, only this time, being smart about it and doing small things that ultimately culminate into something huge that prevents Rudy, Penny, and Snap from affectively fighting them that well, forcing them to try a new tactic.
Yeah. Due to the circumstances, they just think it was some kind of mind trick for entertainment, especially in the concert one. But it would be scary if some of them realized it was real. They could talk to Terry about it (maybe even team up with her and Vinnie), or they could go after Rudy and Penny and force them to talk.

One thing that definitely would have had the potential to be truly terrifying is if someone with a chalk addiction ended up in ChalkZone. True they could just eat non-alive things, but what if they take a liking to eating zoners? o.o
I explored this idea a bit in Catch A Brief Reflection with Ghadir. She was a scary woman. o.o I depicted at least two of her hunts (one where she loses, the other where she wins) and it's played up for how horrifying it really is. She takes full advantage of them being made of chalk and uses her saliva to aid in her biting and has plastic claws with real world water to deal more damage.
Oh man, what if a group of chalk eaters ended up in ChalkZone and started to hunt as a pack unit? o.o

Yeah, a mad scientist isn't something we want in ChalkZone, that's for sure.
Cave would be awesome! Though maybe I'm biased because caves are my favorite type of environment. XD
Haha, well THAT is something I'd love to ask the creators if I could...why Skrawl was there. XD
That's what I'm thinking. And they'd have Rudy and his friends outnumbered.
Yeah... o.o
That would be really disturbing. o.o Though at least with all the dangerous Zoners in ChalkZone, there would be some who could fight back, real water or not.

He would experiment on zoners I'm sure. o.o
Caves are awesome, though. XD
I wonder if they'd have an answer for it. XD Maybe just "We felt like it". XD
Yeah. It would be hard for them to fight back when there's so many villains cornering them.
Yeah, I imagine some zoners would fight back. They wouldn't take too kindly to getting hunted!
