Speaking of Oh Yeah, it's still a shame that Chalk Dad didn't seem to be salvaged. I might have seen it, but it's been so long, I don't remember for certain. I didn't see a lot of Oh Yeah! Cartoons when it was on Nickelodeon. I vaguely remember seeing "ChalkZone" (the pilot), "The Amazin' River", and "Rudy's Date" (as well as "What Is Funny?" and some of the FOP shorts such as "Where's the Wand?" and "The Zappys!") when it was on in the late '90s, but I remember more of it when I saw the show on Nicktoons. Admittedly I think I watched more of Nick's OTHER animated anthology, KaBlam!, back then (which is the only '90s Nicktoon for me that aged really bad. I can't believe I was a huge fan of it). It's funny that I barely remember seeing it during the original run- since I was two, my parents would always leave Nick on for me, so I remember almost everything from the original Nicktoons, Nick Jr., the game shows, the live-action shows, and the imported shows like Tiny Toon Adventures and Garfield and Friends.
I know for sure I've never seen "Chalk Dad". And unlike "Chalk Rain", there isn't a trace of it anywhere online. So it's lost for now (a lot of OY!C seems to be missing as well. It's a pretty rare Nicktoon). And the episode also isn't in any of the iTunes/Amazon Instant Video collections for OY!C (unless they make another one).
I don't remember seeing it in the OY!C repeats on Nicktoons, either (though a lot of the times the show was played while I was at school, and then in the wee hours of the morning after Nicktoons was revamped in 2005). Too bad the DVDs couldn't include "Chalk Dad" and "Chalk Rain" as bonuses.

I always wondered what Chalk Dad was about. I once came upon a brief description of its plot online (which could be totally fake, I have no way of knowing). I have it saved on my computer somewhere but I can't find it at the moment.

Rudy gets creative on his dad's specials board, but his dad hates Rudy's drawings and ideas. Feeling rejected, Rudy escapes to Chalkzone. There he runs into his Chalkdad, who turns out to be just as fussy, ordering Rudy to help him by drawing his restaurant. Despite the fact that his Chalkdad hates the design, the restaurant turns out to be the hottest business in Chalkzone.

Well considering I remember some what of it yes......yeeeears ago I dont remrmber much but I saw it maybe I can find the episode for you guys it used to be on youtube idk what happend but deffinently reading that summary is helping picture it more vividly again in my mind |
