This is one of my favorite episodes. The introduction to Skrawl, my favorite villain. This was a fantastic way to introduce this character. We're treated to just how smart and cunning he can be. The way he tricks Rudy and those zoners was great, and he even shows a high degree of intelligence when he takes away Rudy's magic chalk before he unfolds his plans. In this episode, he actually very nearly succeeds at beating Rudy, and he only loses due to a bit of bad luck at the end, and underestimating Rudy. This episode left me wanting to see more of the jellybean, and it was nice that he did return later in Chalk Queen.

I loooooove this episode so freaking much it's not even funny (I've reached the point where I can recite the whole episode by heart) it's a fantastic introduction to one of the best characters in the show hes my favorite as well it's just a great episode the song is great and catchy as heck and it's just a fun episode it's kinda cool how if the show was aired in production order it would of been the season 1 finale and I think that was the original intension because it refferences episodes that were before it in production order plus it just feels like a finale episode new character new threat new season while the tv order was like exposistion episodes then WOAH NEW CHARACTER which is kinda funny to me but yeah I will always love this episode

Huh, yeah, that would make more sense. As a kid I always wondered why it referenced the Rapunzel episode there before it had even aired. xD

Huh, yeah, that would make more sense. As a kid I always wondered why it referenced the Rapunzel episode there before it had even aired. xD Didnt that episode air as a Oh Yeah short tho It did, all the way back in 1999.
All of S1 was aired out of order, except for the first and fifth episodes. The original order went:
"Rudy's First Adventure/Rudy's Story/Bushel Full O' Yum" "Snapmobile/Rudy's Date/Future Zone/Mumbo Jumbo Jump" "The Wiggies/Rapunzel/Hair To Stay/Comin' To Life" "French Fry Falls/Gift Adrift/Escucha Mi Corazon" "Snap Out Of Water/Two Left Feet/Rudus Tabootus/All Day Jam" "The Skrawl/Pie Day/Secret Passages/We're In The Zone"
But when the episodes premiered in 2002, they went like:
"Rudy's First Adventure/Rudy's Story/Bushel Full O' Yum" "French Fry Falls/Gift Adrift/Escucha Mi Corazon" (This episode was the second one to be MADE, but it's the fourth episode in the original order. You can tell it was produced much earlier in the run- Millie's outfit is pink and not blue, and Rudy's voice is somewhat higher pitched in both stories) "The Skrawl/Pie Day/Secret Passages/We're In The Zone" "Snapmobile/Rudy's Date/Future Zone/Mumbo Jumbo Jump" "Snap Out Of Water/Two Left Feet/Rudus Tabootus/All Day Jam" "The Wiggies/Rapunzel/Hair To Stay/Comin' To Life"
I have NO idea why Nickelodeon did this. But considering that this show isn't about a talking sponge, do you THINK they'd care?
There weren't any REAL continuity errors, but "The Skrawl" references the past S1 episodes, so it would be a little confusing.

Speaking of Oh Yeah, it's still a shame that Chalk Dad didn't seem to be salvaged. I might have seen it, but it's been so long, I don't remember for certain.
