I like the premise of this show and I can enjoy watching it from time to time. But it could have been a lot better. The characters especially suffer, with little development overall with just a couple, namely Caruso, getting a lot of screen time. Veloci is supposed to be threatening, but he ends up being comical and incompetent a lot of the times. He is better in season 2, but there was still room for a lot more improvement.
The idea of people turning into dinosaurs is great, but the show tries to be educational and it fails at it sometimes, like the episode where Roger learns that pulling pranks on his friends wasn't the way to handle things. Roger had never been shown to be a jokester before, so this ends up being jarring.
