Here, I'll post some things I wrote for fun, and aren't presently part of any active story I'm writing. I may also include a few beta scenes I wrote when testing out a new story idea (such as for You Belong To Me).
First up, a random hunting scene with Ghadir.
The plains. Quiet save for the sound of bird zoners calling out in the distance. The sun was shining like it always was. It was such a peaceful day. Nothing out of the ordinary was going on right now. The zoners that were in this area were pressed up against the trees and enjoying their shade.
Maybe had just finished hard days of work. After all that, they deserved some rest. Others finished hard games, or simply were looking for rest. Some lazy, some not. There were probably about ten zoners gathered in a small field, with not much around except grass and tall trees, their twigs and leaves branching out far. This created a large shady area for them to sit in.
And this is where they remained for a while. This had been where they’d almost always rest. All the time, it was the same thing day in and day out. It was almost boring, yet they still came, all just to enjoy the cool breeze and temperant shade.
All that changed the moment a loud scream rang out.
“What was that?” One of the zoners called out. He lifted up his head, whipping it from one side to the other.
“I think it was coming over that way!” Shouted another, a female one this time.
Everyone turned their heads to a small hill that was located not too far. It sounded as if this was where the screams were coming from. They watched, waited, and listened. They could not tear their eyes away, despite their bodies filling up with the terrifying need to run.
The screams were faint at first. But they soon grew in volume. Louder and louder it got, until it was almost like the victim was right next to them. They weren’t able to identify the scream, other than it was clearly from a male zoner. The zoners looked at one another, realizing just how terror-filled the screams were. Just what was going on? What was this zoner trying to get away from?
Seconds later, they could see a shadow forming on the ground. It stretched thinly outwards, covering a small part of the ground. It was pointed in their direction, looking almost like a long knife. Then the figure came into view, and they recognized the purple stick figure zoner.
Lazlo, the baker. How they didn’t recognize him, they weren’t sure.
Lazlo’s eyes were wide in fear, looking like he had seen some really horrifying thing. His mouth was open, panting heavily. He looked like he was going to collapse at any moment, yet he still continued to push himself forward. His hands formed into fists and he was thrusting his arms from side to side as if he was trying to gain speed.
His feet were slamming the ground heavily. The zoners could practically hear them from all the way over where they were. A few times, Lazlo nearly tripped over his feet due to a misstep. He managed to keep running.
As he got closer, the zoners noticed the tears moving down his face. The sight of them made them gasp and look at each other. Then, after a few seconds of tension, the silence was broken.
“What’s going on?” Called out a female ant zoner. “Who are you running away from?”
A male bird zoner chimed in with an even more dreaded question. “Or what?”
Lazlo looked at them all. His eyes widened so much that it looked as if they were going to roll out of his eye sockets. “She....She is going to eat me!”
The zoners gasped in horror at this. They froze, feeling their blood turn to ice at this.
Before they could do much to react, a large figure jumped into the air from behind Lazlo. The baker zoner looked behind him and let out a terrified scream as what appeared to be a slightly heavy-set human lunged behind him. Lazlo tried to get out of the way, but he was not fast enough. The human slammed against him, pushing him into the ground.
The human immediately struck terror in the hearts of the zoners as they recognized who it was.
It was Ghadir, the chalk eater.
“Aaaaahhhhh!”
Many zoners immediately began to panic, screaming and running away. Only a few remained behind to try to help Lazlo. But even they hung back, their bodies shaking as they stared at the large woman.
“You think you can get away from me?!” Ghadir sneered. “Well think again!”
Lazlo let out a scream of pain when Ghadir dug her plastic, Real World water-filled claws into his sides. Blood dripped down, staining the grass. Lazlo let out loud whimpers as Ghadir began to drag them down, creating deep gashes in both his sides.
One of the zoners that remained behind finally worked up the courage to speak. “H-Hey! You!” Ghadir whipped her head over. Her glance caused the zoner to freeze. The zoner stammered, licking his lips nervously. Then he, with a finger lifted up, said, “Let him g-go!”
Ghadir blinked a few times. Then she chuckled. “Isn’t this cute? You want to help your little friend here?” She glanced down at Lazlo. “You here that? Maybe you will have a chance to live another day, my fine little dinner.”
Lazlo squirmed underneath her weight. He shifted his body from one side to the other. No matter how hard he struggled, nothing he did was going to get her off of him. He soon gave up, panting heavily from the exertion he had given. The sight of this only made Ghadir chuckle in triumph. Lazlo cringed at this, turning his head away to avoid her gaze.
Ghadir smiled at him for a few moments, and then turned to look over at where the other zoners were. Her eyes scanned them, looking at them hungrily. It was like she was trying to size them up and perhaps find someone she would think is tastier. And none of them had any doubts that this was precisely what she was doing.
The remaining zoners were having a harder time standing around. Many legs were wobbling, and the temptation to turn and bolt for it was strong. Even though sentient zoners didn’t have natural predators usually, the instinct when in presence of a predator was still there. With the way Ghadir was staring at all of them, her teeth exposed to them, that instinct to run away was getting stronger.
It took all their will just to stay put. The eagerness to get Lazlo out of there was strong. They just didn’t have it in their heart to leave him to this cruel fate.
But the question was, how would they get him out of there?
Ghadir chuckled as she stared at their determined yet terrified expressions. “If you are thinking of rescuing him...” She moved her plastic claws along the top of Lazlo’s head. The sharp tips pressed against his scalp. He whimpered as the claws cut partially into his head, drawing a bit of blood. “I hope you can think of something quick and fast. I’m not sure how much longer he will last with me.”
A cruel threat, and she meant it fully. Anyone who looked at her, and read her expression, would know that. Ghadir loved to toy with her food, and she was always serious when it came to eating them. If Ghadir says they need to think of something fast, then she was telling the truth.
Low growls eminated from a few of the zoners. Despite their fear, there was growing anger boiling in the pit of their stomachs. Many were getting sick and tired of seeing Ghadir treat them this way. She hunted them and ate them for no reason other than for fun. She knew that she could eat chalk food instead. Yet she still chooses to hunt sentient zoners. The thought sickened many zoners, as well as horrified them. Ghadir was worse than most other predators.
Before any of them could react, Ghadir, her claws pressing deeper inside Lazlo and prompting him to scream, lowered her head and she bit down into his arm. Lazlo let out a bloodcurdling scream. The zoners were helpless to do anything except watch as Ghadir used her saliva to aid in her biting, sliding a decent sized chunk of flesh out of Lazlo’s arm. She chewed it, giving off sickening grunch sounds, and swallowed.
“Well, he does taste quite nice.” Ghadir licked her lips slowly. “But if any of you want him alive, perhaps a trade?” She looked at the zoners intently. After a few seconds of silence, she said, “I’m sure I could be...persuaded..if one of you tastes better.”
This statement caused one of the zoners, who was no doubtedly closer to Lazlo than the rest, to rush towards her, his teeth gritted and showing his sharp teeth, his ears flatted against his head. “You monster!”
The zoner was haulted when Ghadir pressed a plastic claw against Lazlo’s throat, threatening to puncture his jugular. The beast-like zoner stopped. His body trembled as he really wanted to rush forward and help his comrade. But Ghadir’s physical threat easily stopped him, as he clearly did not want to make things worse for Lazlo.
“You know what? I think I’ll make your jobs a little easier.” Ghadir said, a casual tone to her voice, as if this was all no big deal. She looked down at Lazlo, a small smile stretching along her face. “I’m sure I would bore you all if I had you all discuss on who is tastier. So tell you what.” She lifted her head up, giving the zoners an upwards glance. “I’ll make the decision for you.” Her smile grew twisted.
The beast-like zoner’s face paled. “W-Wait!” He held out his hand. “No!”
Before anyone could say anything, before anyone could do a thing to stop Ghadir, the woman pressed her claw deep into Lazlo’s throat. His eyes bulged wide and he tried to scream. Only a wet gurgle could escape his mouth. She sneered down at him as she tensed up her finger, and, with a single pull to one side, she successfully cut a deep gash in his throat, severing his jugular.
Soon, Lazlo laid on the ground, convulsing and whimpering. Tears stained his face from the shere agony. Blood slowly pooled out of his throat. The other zoners tried to move in, but Ghadir held them at bay by threatening to take out his eyes, too.
Lazlo began to choke on his own blood. The thick, red fluid got into his wind pipe, cutting off his air supply. He opened his mouth wide and tried to suck in a breath. But no matter how hard he tried, he could not breathe in, and he soon collapsed from the lack of air. His eyes shut and his body began to twitch. The zoners stared in horror, watching as the baker zoner went through the death throes, something that no living thing could mimic.
The beast-like zoner was the most horrified. A few tears moved down his face as he stared at the limp body. He shook his head slowly from side to side, as if he didn’t want to believe it. He turned his attention to Ghadir, his stunned expression taking in all that he had seen.
Something snapped inside of him.
“I’ll kill you!”
The beast-like zoner charged as fast as he could towards Ghadir. His mouth was split open, his sharp teeth ready to shred into her flesh. He jumped at her, his claws outstretched as he prepared to attack her.
This proved to be a suicidal move. Ghadir looked up at him and, in a swift move, reached up and grabbed him by the neck. The beast-like zoner’s eyes widened in surprise. Ghadir thrust him against the ground and pinned him.
The beast-like zoner tried to struggle, but he was helpless to stop Ghadir’s claws from raking into his flesh. The claws were plunged into his stomach. Ghadir dug into his stomach relentlessly, her hands becoming coated with the zoner’s blood. The red liquid stained the ground around him, creating a large pool. The beast-like zoner screamed, cried, and struggled. Soon, he fell silent as Ghadir managed to tear open his aorta. His body became limp, twitching in death.
The sight of this caused the remaining zoners to back away, their eyes wide in horror. Ghadir looked at her claws flexing them slowly. She chuckled, admiring the damage that her claws had done.
“Well, after that little display...” Ghadir turned her eyes at the other zoners. “Do any of you want to challenge me?”
The zoners took a step back, their eyes wide in fear. A few of them whimpered softly.
Ghadir chuckled at this. “Oh come now. I could use more food. She licked her lips slowly. “I mean, these two are going to feed me for a while.” She gestured to Lazlo and the beast-like zoner’s now deceased corpses. “But I don’t mind if more of you generously volunteered.”
The zoners immediately screamed and ran away. Ghadir laughed as she watched them run.
“Go on and run. When I decide to hunt you all, you’ll stand no chance.”
While Ghadir could easily go after them and kill them if she wanted to, she instead remained behind, staring down at the two corpses before her. She was more interested in consuming these zoners than chasing more prey. After all, why waste the energy?
Ghadir began with Lazlo. She picked up his body and laid it against the nearest tree. She eyed him up down and soon decided on where to start. She pressed her teeth against his left arm. She worked her teeth in, soon severing a piece of flesh from the zoner. She pulled back, chewed, and swallowed. She licked her lips slowly, and she resumed eating him.
After she had eaten about half the meat from the zoner’s arm, she turned her attention to his stomach. Laying him on the ground, she pulled his shirt upwards to expose his stomach area. She used her plastic claws to rip open the stomach until she could see his internal organs. She stared at it intently, drooling, before burying her face into his ripped belly.
She took a hold of his intestines in her mouth. She pulled her head back, ripping a chunk out. She chewed it greedily, feeling part of the intestines swing and press against her mouth. She slurped it up and swallowed the rest of it in a single gulp.
It took her about ten to fifteen minutes to eat the entire zoner. Bones and all. Except for the blood stains and some residue left on her, there was not a trace of Lazlo to be found.
She turned her head down towards the beast-like zoner. “You will make for a fine lunch later on.” She went over to pick up the beast-like zoner for storage later, but a whimper caught her attention.
“N-No...”
Ghadir turned her head and soon saw there was another zoner. A small one. Child, looking a little younger than Snap. He was watching the scene with tears on his face, his body shaking. He had been there this whole time, watching as she consumed Lazlo.
Ghadir smirked down at the zoner. She approached him quickly.
“Stay away...please...” The small child zoner cried.
“What were you doing here?” Ghadir asked, curiosity laced on her voice. “I thought all of you ran away like the cowards you are. How long had you been here?”
The child zoner continued to cower back, his body hunched defensively. “He..he was my dad...” He pointed towards the blood puddle where Lazlo ahd been. “I was waiting for him and...I heard him scream... And..and you...” The child zoner began to cry heavily. “How could you do that...? Why are you so mean...?”
Ghadir cocked an eyebrow at this. She shook her head slowly. “I’m not mean.” She placed a hand against herself. “I am just doing what comes naturally. You..” She pointed at the zoner. “Are simply naive.”
Ghadir picked up her pace. She rapidly approached the small, shivering zoner. Ghadir had no fear of the zoner getting away. She could easily outpace him if she had to.
“But don’t worry. I’ll help you reunite with daddy.”
After that hissing statement, Ghadir reached out and grabbed the child zoner by his neck. Immediately the youngster began to squirm and writhe in her hand. Ghadir gripped his head tightly. She began to twist his head slowly to one side.
“No! Please! Stop! This hurts! Ahhhh!” The child zoner screamed as his head was twisted beyond its limits. “Please! Let me go... Aurrkk...!”
Ghadir smiled in satisfaction as the child zoner let out a gurgled cry as the neck was finally snapped. The sound resounded everywhere, signifying the death of the small zoner. Now the young zoner lay limply in her hand.
She watched him dangle for a few seconds before deciding not to waste his body.
“I could use dessert anyway.” She told herself before she opened her jaws and devoured the child zoner in a few bites. She licked her lips as his blood poured down her mouth. “Tasty.”
Ghadir returned to the beast-like zoner. She grabbed his head and twisted it, breaking his neck as a way of making sure that he was for sure dead. She then picked up his body and laid him over her back. She turned in the direction where her comrades were waiting and heading off that way.
She felt herself swell up in pride. Today was a joyous hunt. Enjoyable. Lots of fun like they always were. She hoped to go on another hunt soon. Perhaps target another child zoner. Yes, that was fun.
